Active Matter Reddit & Discord: Official Channels

There is no official Active Matter subreddit. The channels the developers actually run are the official Discord, the six social accounts listed on the official site, and Gaijin support; the game's own FAQ points players to Discord for questions and feedback rather than to Reddit. That matters because active matter reddit searches currently return a mix of player-run threads and a handful of large subreddits that are not connected to the developers. This page lists the official channels first, then the player-run communities we link out to, with a clear line between the two.

The official channels for the game

The official site lists six channels in its footer: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Discord and TikTok. The Steam store page publishes the same accounts as clickable links, which is where the URLs below come from, and the official FAQ answers the question of where to ask about the game by naming Discord only. Patch announcements, event announcements and the launch note itself are published on the official news page rather than on any social account.

We deliberately leave the TikTok cell blank rather than guessing a handle: the official site lists the channel, but our capture of the Steam store page did not include its address, so we do not print one. The same caution applies to any invite or handle that turns up in a search result without an official page behind it. If a channel is not on this list, treat it as player-run until the official site says otherwise.

Official support, bug reports and creator requests

Technical problems do not go to Discord. The official FAQ tells players who encounter any problem to contact the support service, and Gaijin hosts that desk at support.gaijin.net, which is also where the system requirements article lives. For issues that are account-specific, purchase-specific or machine-specific, support is the only channel with access to your records.

Creators have a separate door. The official FAQ says there is a support programme for content creators and streamers, and points to the partnership form on the official website; on September 21, 2026 the site published The Agency Is Recruiting Content Creators, describing a reworked programme with permanent in-game rewards. If you want to know what the programme pays or requires, read that announcement and the form rather than a second-hand summary.

Player-run communities, linked out

Three player-run places are worth knowing, and none of them is official. The subreddit r/ActiveMatter is where most of the search traffic lands, the community wiki at activematter.wiki.gg has grown into the main reference for lookup content, and the Fandom wiki is a second player-maintained option. We link to all three because they do their jobs well, and we do not pretend to replace them.

The division of labour is simple. Those wikis and subreddits answer what this site deliberately does not: weapon rankings, map positions, item recipes and monster stats. This site covers systems and current state instead, which is why you will find how the modes work, the wipe and season rules and the patch timeline here rather than a gear table. When a wiki page and an official page disagree, the official store page, official FAQ or official news post wins on this site.

Where news and event dates actually land

Every date worth tracking is published officially, and the community threads usually follow hours later. The launch and its patches went out through the official news feed, including Update 0.4.0.115 on September 17, 2026, Update 0.4.0.122 on September 18, 2026, and the Twitch Drops window running from September 18 at 15:00 UTC to September 25 at 15:00 UTC. The official FAQ also states that a detailed roadmap will be published within a couple of weeks after release, so as of September 21, 2026 the roadmap is still outstanding.

If you only follow one channel, follow the news feed and let the social accounts push the same items. That is also the sequence to check when a community post claims a date, a patch note or a refund policy that you cannot find anywhere official.
